About Me
Hi! I'm Jonathan Werle, the founder of Jonathan Werle Strategies. I have more than 20 years of leadership and operations experience spanning nonprofit, education, and government sectors.
Prior to founding JWS, I served as Vice President of Operations at Global Cities, where I oversaw operational strategy and process improvement initiatives. As the Chief Operating Officer at HP Charter Schools Network, I led operations across multiple campuses, managing HR, finance, and facilities teams while navigating the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a founding member of the ed tech nonprofit, New Classrooms, I played a key role in building an operational infrastructure that supported the organization’s exponential growth while contributing to its national expansion. I also held leadership positions at the NYC Department of Education, focusing on operational strategy and large-scale initiatives.
I received a Master of Public Policy from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wesleyan University. I bring a wealth of experience advising organizations on operational strategy, scaling, and cross-functional leadership, with a particular focus on the nonprofit sector.
